Just before the turn of the New Year, Fidelity Management & Research Co. saw two senior technology staff depart. Director of information and research services Joanne Ultang and Tim Wakeling, head of equity systems. Fidelity officials decline to comment, but according to a source, it remains unclear whether Ultang will be replaced; her duties included direction of both the firm's market data consulting group and its four research libraries (which contain hard copies of research publications)
