Manulife Names Chakar Head of Data Management

Longtime BNY Mellon exec begins new role

Manulife has hired Nadine Chakar as senior vice president and global head of operations and data management, effective March 7. In her new role, she will direct global operations for the firm's investment division, overseeing data governance and information management.

Most recently, Chakar was an executive vice president and head of e-commerce, strategy and research and financial market infrastructure at BNY Mellon. She had held executive roles at that firm and at predecessor ABN AMRO Mellon since 1989, before leaving in July 2015.
