Fitch claims 20% developer productivity boost using AWS GenAI tools

The vendors have expanded an existing deal to include new Amazon tools that have helped Fitch modernize its infrastructure and applications.

When Andrew Collyer joined Fitch as CTO in 2021, the ratings agency and data solutions provider was already well into its cloud journey with Amazon Web Services. It had migrated to AWS’s cloud in 2017 after two years of preparation, and subsequently partnered with the cloud provider to build a new ESG ratings platform at the start of 2024, and to create a resilient and scalable Kafka infrastructure using Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) later that year.
