NEW NASDAQ LIFFE FOR ASCHER
Thomas Ascher, former vice president at Interactive Brokers, has been named CEO of Nasdaq Liffe Markets (NQLX). Ascher will handle strategic and long-term vision for NQLX, which is to introduce single-stock futures trading this spring. At Interactive Brokers, Ascher was a member of the firm's steering committee, overseeing the company' initiative to connect to all five US options exchanges. He also held senior sales roles at the Chicago Board Options Exchange.
