Industry veteran James Powell, former chief technology officer (CTO) and head of product development at Reuters, left the vendor about a month ago, a Reuters spokesperson confirms. Powell, who took over the CTO role following the announcement of the departure of his predecessor Mike Sayers, had been based in London (DWT, Jan. 17 and April 11). However, Powell moved to Chicago with Reuters earlier this year. His responsibilities have been taken over by Barry Woodward
