BLOCK ALERT GETS A CEO
Merrill Lynch and agency brokerage Investment Technology Group (ITG) officials have a CEO, Steven J. Sorice, for their joint venture, Block Alert. The new global block order crossing service uses ITG's Posit platform, and was launched earlier this year (DWT, April 11). The platform has been gaining clients, officials say. Sorice has 20 years of industry experience, including 10 years at ITG in senior roles including CEO of ITG's Hoenig division.
