Raising the Bar on Standards Development

OK. I admit it. I am a standards advocate and remain a believer that the data management drivers are sustainable and that the stars are closer to alignment than ever before. Now, if only we could overcome the obstacles of bureaucracy, the lack of business oversight, the ignorance of commercial reality and the view of standards development as a lifestyle rather than a business mandate.

Now that I've got that off my chest, let me back up a little and start with a basic hypothesis. Which is this
