Market Participants Can Ask for Clarity on Codes

Market awareness of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)—the individual 20-digit code that contains key information about companies participating in global financial markets—is growing, as regulations recommend or even mandate its adoption.

More than 330,000 LEIs across 190 countries have been issued to date. Yet confusion or ignorance about the code remains in some sectors of the market. To address this, the Global LEI Foundation (GLEIF) is holding a Meet-the-Market event in London on Thursday
