Interactive Data Adds Bloomberg Open Symbology
Pricing and data services provider Interactive Data (IDC) will adopt Bloomberg's Open Symbology securities identification system, according to officials of both companies who have collaborated on the plans.
Interactive Data's addition of Bloomberg Open Symbology (BSYM) will reduce its users' need to spend time and effort on data mapping and cross-referencing, produce a transparent system for naming securities and ease integration and maintenance of securities identifier data.
