Soc Gen Exec: "Global LEI Adoption Will Take 20 Years"

It will take 20 years for the legal entity identifier (LEI) to be adopted around the world, a Société Générale Securities Services executive has told delegates at this week's Asia Pacific Financial Information Conference in Hong Kong.

Olivier Rose, head of projects and international data management at Société Générale Securities Services, said new regulations, such as the LEI, mean risk management will continue to be a "big deal" in the coming years.
