Reuters Practices Its Solutions

ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGY

Reuters has created three practice segments to develop solutions pulled from the four customer channels: Investment Banking and Brokerage, Corporates and Media, Treasury and Asset Management, Inside Market Data has learned.

The practice segments are designed to take products from multiple customer channels to create one solution, whether to deliver content or to promote straight through processing, says a spokesperson. Reuters Consulting, which runs across both the segments and the channels, can customize that solution for a client with internal and third-party products.

Content Management will focus on the technology platforms that deliver data and other content, such as the market data distribution system Reuters Market Data System (RMDS). Reuters has not yet announced the head of this group.

Trading and Operations is led by Jeffrey Woodruff as global director of trading and operations. His staff includes Tony Kirby, who remains director of the STP Program. Woodruff continues to report to Jane Platt, head of the asset management channel.

Mike Whitaker, director of Treasury Services, leads Risk and Trade Management out of London, reporting to Treasury channel head Julie Holland.

The spokesperson declines to detail the staffing of the practice segments, but says they should be announced later this quarter. The segments were implemented last month, he says.
