Solactive Launches Benchmarks, Sets Roadmap for Smart Beta Indexes
Clients will be able to use Solactive's benchmarks as the basis for their own indexes, or to benchmark investment strategies.
The first phase of benchmarks includes the Solactive US Broad Market Index, Solactive US Large Cap Index, Solactive US Large & Mid Cap Index and Solacative Euro IG Corporate Index.
Officials say Solactive will offer an aggressive pricing model, and will broaden the vendor's customer base by targeting active fund companies that need a cost-efficient benchmark to measure their fund performance, as well as those looking for interesting smart beta concepts.
