Thomson Reuters has completed the integration of content from energy analysis and news provider Point Carbon -- which the vendor acquired in 2010 (IMD, May 28, 2010) -- into its Eikon market data desktop, providing energy traders, analysts and risk managers with access to independent energy research and forecasting tools, including detailed analysis and assessments of the fundamental elements of the power, gas and carbon markets, based on weather forecasts, supply and demand factors, pricing activity, policy developments and other market factors.

Clients can customize components of the Thomson Reuters Research & Forecasts for Energy service-including animated weather maps, modeling tools and interactive charts-within their existing Eikon displays, as well as via mobile devices.
