At press time, it was learned that Reuters Instinet is a customer of Persistence Software, a San Mateo, Calif.-based application server provider, say sources. Reuters Instinet is thought to be using the Persistence Powertier for Enterprise Javabeans (EJB), version 5.0, application server for its forthcoming fixed-income services, say sources close to the project. Launched at the DWT Expo '99, Persistence Powertier 5 is a full implementation of the Sun
