Bloomberg Will Introduce Network For Fixed-Income Securities Trading

NEW YORK--Bloomberg is gearing up to roll out by December an electronic trading network for US Treasuries, dubbed Bondtrader, and will challenge several other electronic bond trading systems that have been unveiled in the past year.

Bloomberg's primary market is buy-side companies, but the company is trying to attract the institutions with the promise of a liquid market, and to achieve that aim it has already recruited five bond dealers, including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, says Richard Chmiel
