Salomon Smith Barney Unveils Internet Trading System For Institutions

LONDON--Salomon Smith Barney is launching an Internet-based trading system designed for small and medium sized institutional investors. Based on Java, the system is called World Trader.

Kevin Bourne, the investment bank's vice president in charge of electronic trading, says: "All Internet trading systems so far have been built for retail requirements.
