Deutsche Bank Opens 600-Position Frankfurt Floor, Stressing Flexible Infrastructure Over Massive Upgrade

FRANKFURT--Emphasizing that it needed a flexible infrastructure more than a massive upgrade, Deutsche Bank opened a new 600-position trading centre for its Frankfurt headquarters last month, and transferred to it much of the bank's existing trading platforms and applications.

Much of what is new about the centre has to do with an upgraded infrastructure that includes the latest versions of Microsoft Windows NT, IBM AIX-based RS/6000 platforms, an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) backbone and IPC
