Nasdaq Builds Upon Its Own Data

Nasdaq is launching two new products in the third quarter that will focus on content exclusive to Nasdaq that has not been distributed before.

OrderView, which is a machine-readable version of the exchange's TotalView feed, is designed to deliver data more quickly and at the lowest possible bandwidth (IMD, May 16). William O'Brien, senior vice president, market data distribution, says it can do this because all of the extraneous data in TotalView, such as control messages, has been stripped out
