Attendees Told To Focus On Euro At Paris Meeting

PARIS--The Information Industry Association's Financial Information Services Division's conference in Paris late last month on implementing the euro and preparing for the year 2000 revealed that there is no common plan of action among the various European exchanges or the financial information vendors on dealing with these issues. And while resources have been focused on preparing for 2000, the euro is in fact the more urgent problem to address.

Altogether 67 representatives of exchanges, vendors
