Merrill Sets CTO For Retail Group, As TGA Rollout Nears

As part of its effort to expedite the rollout of its massive Trusted Global Advisor (TGA) retail broker workstation project, Merrill Lynch & Co. has named Howard Sorgen chief technology officer of its so-called Private Client Technology (PCT) retail brokerage division. The appointment of Sorgen -- which is part of a larger restructuring of Merrill's Operations, Systems and Telecommunications (OST) unit -- follows news that the firm has selected ILX Systems Inc. to provide the quote service
