Panel Picks Out Thorny Issues of Reference Data

Three reference data experts offered advice to their fellow vendors at "The World of Reference Data" panel at IMD Europe 2005.

Darren Purcell, associate director, securities classification at Standard & Poor's, began by noting that companies must abide by certain guidelines, such as delivering the data on a timely basis.

Anthony Kirby, founder of the Reference Data User Group, also emphasizes this, saying that the onus is on vendors to deliver accurate, timely data.
