CMA Buy Lifts CME Data Revenues
Year-on-year Q2 data revenues were up 23 percent, from revenues of $48.5 million reported for Q2 last year, bringing the proportion of total exchange revenues contributed by sales of market data to 11 percent, according to materials distributed during the earnings call.
An increase in the monthly base device fee charged by the CME for each data terminal consuming data from $50 to $55, which was introduced in January, also contributed to the Q2 growth, officials say. The base device fee covers all
