The latest advancements of our cornerstone products mark a significant milestone in the evolution of our offerings. As industry leaders, we pride ourselves on our ability to continuously innovate and work alongside our clients, providing purpose-built, scalable solutions tailored to the dynamic needs of the global marketplace
Karen Geiger, senior vice president and co-general manager, SS&C Advent
The solution
Both APX and Geneva offer firms best-of-breed accounting solutions designed specifically for the buy side. APX is designed to help investment managers follow regulatory and client mandates, ensuring regulatory compliance. To address scalability and flexibility for investment managers, APX and its accounting engine are now part of the Genesis Platform, offering users a unified investment experience. For alternative investment managers, Geneva is designed to handle complex fund structures, supporting asset class and strategy diversification. To address the growth in private credit, Geneva offers new workflows and investor accounting requirements.
Secret sauce
APX simplifies operations with centralized portfolio, relationship, and prospect data. It enables compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) mandates to assure managers and investors that their performance is correct and comparable. Complex investment accounting, including processing derivative and credit instruments, is the heart of the Geneva platform.
Recent milestones
To address scalability, interoperability and flexibility, SS&C Advent added APX as the accounting functionality to its Genesis Platform, providing a unified platform experience. Recent enhancements to Geneva include constructing and implementing bespoke fee structures for complex, open-ended funds with Investor Fee Builder, automating workflows to generate cash reporting for collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), and adding the ability to specify a non-par price on bank debt credit activity.
Future objectives
Over the next 12 months, SS&C Advent will continue to focus on its collaboration with its clients and internal teams across product groups within its wealth and investment technologies. It is investing in innovation around modernization and scalability, mobility and accessibility, interoperability across its various solutions, and operational workflows.
