WHAT’S NEW
FactSet launched the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) API to enable clients to build more custom solutions as well as a more sophisticated channel to interact with FactSet’s reporting solutions. The Document Management System, which allows clients to manage various files used in the reporting process, has been improved to provide a better user experience and enhanced functionality, including improved searching, sorting, filtering, tags and custom folders. FactSet has also added font formatting to enable users to keep their reports on-brand.
WHAT’S TO COME
FactSet is focused on the collection of content such as private markets, deep-sector metrics and ESG intelligence. It will continue to enhance its delivery-agnostic solution with further investment in cloud-centric access points and expansion of its API offering, which will include coverage for the providers on the Open:FactSet Marketplace.
WHY THEY WON
FactSet won this category for its Vermilion Reporting Suite, which allows users to combine portfolio analytics with internal data sources to produce high-quality, client-facing reports. It supports self-service and full-service client reporting, leaving the choice to users. FactSet is also investing more in cloud-centric access points and the continued expansion of its API offering.
“FactSet has heavily invested in our analytical capabilities and allows our clients to interact with these analytics in a multitude of ways across the portfolio lifecycle, which span the front, middle and back office. All of our analytics data and engines can be accessed on-platform as well as through APIs via FactSet’s developer portal. As a result, the breadth of our core products and the new solutions and synergies we have been building are really resonating with our clients.”
