Waters Rankings 2021: Best cloud application provider—BlueMatrix
Product: BlueMatrix Ecosystem

“The last 12 months have been monumental for BlueMatrix. What we are most proud of, however, is the success our clients achieved despite the abrupt transition to remote work. In 2020, overall research production was up nearly 20% year on year (as much as 30% in the second quarter). Working from home was an easy transition for our users; they consistently reported ‘business as usual,’ with some even nabbing top industry rankings. No one could have predicted the last year, but our clients were grateful to have the right solution and support in place.”
Patricia Horotan, CEO and co-founder, BlueMatrix
WHY THEY WON
Cloud-based tools and services have never been so in demand, as the pandemic forced people to work remotely. Even as employees are returning to the office, the genie is out of the proverbial bottle, and BlueMatrix appears well positioned to seize on this new reality.
WHAT’S NEW
In 2021, BlueMatrix received its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification after a rigorous independent audit of its information security management system.
This spring, the vendor updated its visual identity, introducing a new corporate logo, product branding, visual design, and messaging features.
BlueMatrix expanded its customer base to include two new geographies, Scandinavia and Australia.
WHAT’S TO COME
This year, the company will launch BlueMatrix Portals, a new channel for research presentation and consumption that will offer research providers the opportunity to create a branded user experience for their clients.
BlueMatrix will upgrade its authoring platform, Creator, by enhancing the online editor to improve the content creation experience.
The vendor will increase its footprint throughout Europe, Asia, and Australia.
