Sell-Side Technology Awards 2020: Best Sell-Side OTC Trading Initiative—Barchart

Sell-Side Technology Awards

For the first time, it’s Barchart taking home the prize in the best over-the-counter (OTC) trading initiative category, supplanting Numerix. Other winners include FIS (twice), TradingScreen, and smartTrade.

Barchart’s flagship market data platform, cmdtyView, is a terminal built specifically for agricultural data. The HTML5-native data analysis platform application includes a charting tool that allows users to view any instrument, cash, crush, futures, and indexes in seasonal or interactive charts, and has connectivity to 50-plus brokers. Forward curves are provided to be prebuilt and also can be customized for individual needs. Users can also view the latest bids and monitor competitor pricing. Additionally, users can plot their custom calculations in a chart and engage regularly with their producers. Instant messaging is now available so users can communicate with buyers and suppliers in real-time to negotiate physical grain trading faster than ever before.

CmdtyView’s most recently added a new charting component that was built from the ground up and includes additional plot types, aggregation types, and an enhanced user experience. Other recent additions include Global Spot Pricing for grains and oilseeds from Commodity3, a dedicated economic calendar to help ensure users are ready for each day’s market-moving events, access to our deep community of sellers that use producer solutions with the cmdtyMatch integration, and native support for Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
