Eze Castle Integration started building its first hosted cloud platform for a large New York hedge fund back in 2005, when cloud services were barely known and even less trusted by the financial services industry. Since then, as cloud technology developed into an innovative, cost-effective and reliable delivery mechanism, the platform rapidly expanded into a fully hosted private cloud solution, the Eze Private Cloud, supporting more than 85 applications and used by more than 300 hedge funds and investment firms globally. The Eze Private Cloud uses best-of-breed technology from Cisco, NetApp, and VMware to offer a highly redundant and resilient platform for data protection, enhanced performance and monitoring purposes, based on the firm’s experience gleaned from working with hedge funds and investment managers over the course of the last decade.

It’s the multitude of offerings within the cloud services group at Eze Castle Integration that really differentiates it from the competition, however. While it has its private cloud platform, specifically designed for the financial services industry, its suite of services also includes: the ECI Link global network, which connects to the NYSE Technologies Marketplace and the SunGard Global Network; application hosting; a fully-managed IT service through the firm’s Managed Suite; and a full cloud-enabled disaster recovery solution. Not many sector-focused service providers can claim such a mature and multi-faceted offering, one that integrates and centralizes its components into a single platform with solid service-level agreements. It’s also rare to see each segment so thoroughly defined and competently implemented.

For added services, Eze Castle Integration has recently expanded into codifying best practices for its buy-side clientele for cyber security, one of the most challenging areas for organizations to master in the modern era. Its tight focus on its buy-side customers, and its extensive work in tailoring a burgeoning technology to specifically address their needs has earned it a deserved place at the top of a highly competitive category in this year’s Rankings.
