SFE Members To End Outcry Trading, Fully Electronic Era Begins On Nov. 15

SYDNEY--Members of the Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE) have voted to end open outcry trading on Monday, November 15, in favour of a fully electronic trading platform.

The 26 voting floor members of the SFE took the historic vote last Thursday, October 28, and set in motion the end of "39 years of colourful open outcry trading", according to an SFE statement. The last day of floor trading will be Friday, November 12.

The SFE's futures and options products will be traded via the Sydney Computerised
