Cable Systems Holding Buys IPC Information Systems For $253M

NEW YORK--Shortly before Christmas, IPC Information Systems announced that its gift came early.

Although an acquisition was not unexpected by industry observers, few would have predicted that IPC would be acquired by Cable Systems Holding (CSH) in a transaction valued at $253 million including debt. CSH, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is composed of two subsidiaries Cable Systems International, a telecommunications products manufacturer and LoDan Electronics, a maker of specialized cable assemblies.
