Anyone familiar with the development and deployment of the industry-backed Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) system for foreign exchange settlement knows that patience is a virtue. The industry conceived CLS in 1995, began its development in 1999 and finally rolled it out for a quiet launch in September 2002.
