Less than one-sixth of 50 top securities firms surveyed are STP-ready, according to a recent study commissioned by BEA Systems, Inc. Indeed, 54% of respondents say their firms are still in the assessment or planning stages of STP, while just 30% are in the implementation phase. And that is probably a good thing.
