Gaer Named Nymex London Interim CEO
Sam Gaer
, CIO of the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex), has been named interim CEO of Nymex Europe, a brand under which the exchange opened a trading floor for Brent crude oil futures in Dublin last November. Gaer’s appointment follows the announcement that Nymex will open a new exchange in London later this year. He will be responsible for putting the infrastructure in place and getting the exchange up and running. He remains CIO of Nymex, and reports to JiOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
