BATS Bows MiFID 2 Order Data Reporting Process

BATS' solution will help firms comply with order data record-keeping requirements of MiFID 2.

The solution addresses MiFID 2's RTS 24 requirement by capturing short-form IDs on orders and supplementing them with a mapping file containing the underlying data, which can be provided at another time. This mapping file is stored securely until a regulator requires the complete order records.

Within MiFID 2, the RTS 24 requirement dictates that trading venues will have to capture, record and store vast amounts of data throughout the trading day. By launching the solution now, BATS is giving

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
