Thomson Reuters has made several enhancements, including third-party development and FX trading, to the Eikon desktop this year.

The newly introduced Buy-Side Optimized Workflow (BOW) dashboard aims to combat highly fragmented liquidity, multiple broker relationships and growth of algorithmic trading in the equities markets following increased regulatory measures.

The BOW dashboard offers a single viewpoint of previously executed trades, broker-trade advertisements, and analyst rankings for optimized equities trading powered by Thomson Reuters' real-time and historical data feeds.

"Thomson Reuters Eikon contains a huge amount of powerful information for the equities buy-side which is why it's more important than ever that we help our customers find and analyze the key information they need quickly and easily," said Michael Chin, global head of equities at Thomson Reuters.
