Euronext Nabs Santander's Boujnah as CEO

Boujnah set to take exchange operator's top seat in November.

Current Euronext CEO Jos Dijsselhof will step aside in November.

Boujnah will join Euronext, subject to approval form the Dutch Ministry of Finance and Euronext's College of Regulators, from Santander where he is currently head of global banking and markets for continental Europe.

"It is an exciting opportunity to take Euronext forward from its recent IPO to the next stage of its development while meeting all its stakeholder's needs," says Boujnah. "My aim will be to continue the proven successful strategy and to create exception shareholder and client value.

Current interim CEO Jos Dijsselhof, who has led the exchange since the departure of Dominique Cerutti in April, will continue until the arrival of Boujnah in November.
