Capricorn Picks Viteos for Middle Office

Transition took less than 30 days.

Capricorn has a presence in London and Johannesburg, above.

Previously, Capricorn, which is based in Johannesburg and London, had outsourced its fund administration and middle office services with BNY Mellon Investment Servicing. The decision to separate its fund administration and middle office services came during a periodic strategic review.

In searching for a middle office provider, Capricorn wanted to retain Linedata Beauchamp as its portfolio management platform; separate middle office from fund administrator services; have the ability to transition middle office processes and collaborate with Linedata and BNY; and reap greater scalability, wider asset class coverage and support based in London and Johannesburg.

Viteos was able to execute the transition in less than 30 days. By choosing a co-sourcing model, the technology and data is still owned and kept by Capricorn. This allows Capricorn to have control and oversight over its data and decreases risk with any cash, positions and trade breaks handled daily by Viteos.
