Varonis DatAdvantage gives clients the ability to identify sensitive data, determine who has access to it, see who is currently accessing it and lock it down. Clients also get real-time visibility to changes in file permissions, increased visibility into users, groups, mailbox and folder permissions, a reduction in the allocation of the IT budget toward unstructured data management and protection, and an audit trail of all access events to support compliance reporting.

Viktor Tadijanovic, CTO at Abacus, tells Buy-Side Technology that clients have been looking for a solution that can provide a full view of their data and permissions. Varonis had the only software package that covered all the needed areas, according to Tadijanovic.

"Clients are constantly requesting technical solutions that address the policy and compliance needs," Tadijanovic says. "Most recently OCIE risk alert opened the doors for a number of security related technologies that were hard to justify from business perspective prior to OCIE risk alert."
