Scotiabank moved its headquarters from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Toronto, Ontario in the 1990s.

Fenergo's software will help to automate onboarding processes in terms of data and documentation. It supports tax-related regulations such as the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, provisions in the European Market Infrastructure Regulation, and can be adapted for additional regions. It will integrate with Scotiabank's existing know-your-customer technology, and its anti-money laundering processes.

"With Fenergo's solutions, financial institutions can benefit from clean, golden source data, a rules-driven compliance process that spans multiple regulations and a world-class onboarding workflow process that will enable them to onboard new clients and products quickly and efficiently," says Marc Murphy, CEO at Fenergo.
