Thomson Reuters has made an app version of its Eikon data workstation available for the new BlackBerry 10, developed using BlackBerry 10's native development toolkit.

The app, released last week, features a customized home screen for quick access to users' most important data, the same real-time data, news and search features available on users' desktop Eikon positions ─ which synchs to the mobile version ─ and a "briefcase" feature for saving and reading content offline.

The app is supported on BlackBerry Q10, Q5 and Z10 wireless devices. The vendor has offered a BlackBerry app version of Eikon since introducing its next-generation workstation in 2010 (IMD, Sept. 17, 2010).
