StatPro Adds Bottom-Up Visualization for Stock Picks

London-based StatPro has added the new functionality to its cloud-based Revolution platform.

The enhancement allows fund managers to see the effect of their selection with regards additions of stocks outside the benchmark, performance from decisions excluding benchmark stocks, overweighting and underweighting. The platform's top-down analysis allows for a visualization of performance by sector and currency. The analytics are presented graphically, and calculated using the Brinson-Fachler model for portfolio return relative to selection and interaction.

"We believe that no stock-level attribution product has ever provided such a clear view of the real impacts on a portfolio from stock-picking decisions," says Justin Wheatley, group CEO at StatPro. "This will really help our clients explain their investment decisions to their investors, improving communications, increasing transparency and building trust."
