Fidessa Links OMS to Squawker

London-based Squawker is in negotiations with various sell-side entities.

The pan-European FIX integration will allow participants operating on the Fidessa European Trading Platform (ETP) to connect to the venue and access its liquidity. Squawker operates a negotiation block trading venue built on anonymity as a core function, with elements of social networking.

"Fidessa has now completed the Fidessa ETP FIX connectivity and deep integration with Squawker which will enable its clients to have easy access to this new source of liquidity," says Chris Gregory, CEO at Squawker. "The deep integration will allow ETP users to automate this process even further by easily configuring their Fidessa OMS to automatically route indications-of-interest to Squawker the instant they receive a block order onto their OMS blotter."
