BAML's Walker: It's Not All About Speed

Speed is not all the matters, according to panelists at the European Trading Architecture Summit in London.

During a panel discussion comparing the pros and cons of technologies such as field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and Java, Tony Walker, director of EMEA execution services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), said the overall speed of a technology is not of the utmost importance.
