SunGard Buffs Ambit with Analytics

The analytics functionality helps with balance sheet risk management, in line with regulations.

The new capabilities will give customers access to analytics on liquidity management, capital allocation and revenue protection, among other areas. The balance sheet oversight is designed to help both with internal compliance procedures as well as Basel III, the Dodd-Frank Act and similar regulation.

"A fragmented IT landscape has hindered banks from viewing their overall cash position and risk exposure, particularly during fast-moving cycles and unstable markets," says Peyman Mestchien, managing partner at Chartis Research, quoted in SunGard's media release. "A holistic approach will help banks achieve the consolidation required to become more responsive to both external and internal risk management requirements."

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
