FSA's Sampson: Data Accuracy Trumps Speed

Sampson, a panelist at yesterday's SAP seminar in London, responded to questions regarding the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's June paper on risk data aggregation and reporting.

The paper, which closed for comment last week, states that "banks should be able to generate aggregate and up-to-date risk data in a timely manner, while also meeting the principles relating to accuracy and integrity, completeness and adaptability."

Sampson says the regulation puts a lot on the plates of banks
