SunGard Upgrades Surveillance to Comply with ESMA
SunGard has updated its Protegent market surveillance tool to comply with regulation from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) regarding tighter monitoring of automated trading.
ESMA's 2012/122 guideline, Systems and controls in an automated trading environment for trading platforms, investment firms and competent authorities, is aimed at tightening the noose around rogue traders using market manipulating activities such as layering, spoofing and quote stuffing by keeping tabs on
