Imagine Software, which provides portfolio management solutions, and Hong Kong-based CSOP Asset Management agreed to implement Imagine's cloud-based risk management solution for its Greater China Absolute Return fund, an offering based on long/short equity and derivatives.

The solution will be integrated with the fund's execution management system as well as prime brokers and fund adminstrators, enabling CSOP to monitor P&L, risk, and FX exposure in real-time with a range of additional stress testing, scenario analysis, compliance, real-time Greeks, and reporting functionalities.

In terms of scope and global stature, the partnership holds great potential for both sides. "The use of an extremely reliable and easily scalable cloud-based system will facilitate our future business plans. We intend to expand use of Imagine to include our mainland China operations," says Steve Chang, CSOP managing director.

CSOP is a joint-venture of China Southern Fund, the second largest fund in China, and the Oriental Patron Financial Group.
