ING IM is the first company to use Bloomberg's new offering.

Bloomberg has announced that ING Investment Management has become the first firm to adopt its research management platform.

The technology allows for the tracking of trade ideas shared on internal networks for collaboration between analysts and portfolio managers, and has functionality for ranking analysts and research teams over user-defined time periods, based on the performance of their contributions. The platform integrates with the tools already used in the Bloomberg Professional service, allowing fund management firms to build a private service within the platform.

"Money managers face a highly competitive environment and must harness all of their firm's talents and tools to produce the best investment results for their clients," says Jean-Paul Zammitt, global head of product development for the Bloomberg Professional service. "Now, ING IM can share analyst ideas, evaluate performance and immediately identify whether trade ideas have been successful or not."
