Simena Preps New Monitoring Switch

Sterling, VA-based network monitoring technology provider Simena is readying a new network monitoring switch, leveraging Fulcrum Microsystems’ newest Ethernet switch chips, to provide clients with lower latency and more information.

Simena will release its PFS1764 Packet Flow Switch in late Q3, following availability of Fulcrum’s FM6000 series of Ethernet switch chips, says Robert Lin, director of sales at Simena. The new chips reduce port-to-port latency to 300 nanoseconds in the PFS1764 switch
