Surge Trading to Move to NY4

Electronic market-maker Surge Trading Group plans to relocate its New York area datacenters to facilities operated by Equinix, according to Surge Trading officials.

Surge plans to move its primary datacenter located in its midtown Manhattan office to Equinix's New York 4 (NY4) International Business Exchange (IBX) in Secaucus, NJ, in February 2012; and its secondary disaster-recovery datacenter currently in Astoria, Queens, to the Equinix DC6 facility in Ashburn, Va., in July.

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
