Hibernia Connects to Toronto, Touts Fastest Transatlantic Fiber

Transatlantic cable provider Hibernia Atlantic has connected its low-latency Global Financial Network to Canadian exchange operator TMX Group's primary datacenter, allowing clients in North America, the UK and Europe to access low-latency data from the Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange and Montreal Exchange, with sub-10 millisecond roundtrip latency between Toronto and datacenters in New Jersey.

Also last week, the vendor announced plans to lay a new transatlantic fiber-optic cable
